New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the subject of scrutiny after she appeared to justify the protesters who accosted Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at a steakhouse.
The representative mocked the Justice in a tweet this weekend.
“Poor guy. He left before his soufflé because he decided half the country should risk death if they have an ectopic pregnancy within the wrong state lines. It’s all very unfair to him. The least they could do is let him eat cake,” she said.
“I will never understand the pearl clutching over these protests. Republicans send people to protest me all the time, sometimes drunk and belligerent. Nobody cares about it unless it’s a Republican in a restaurant. Can someone please explain the obsession because I don’t get it,” she said.

She was immediately met with scorn for her ridiculous comments.

“This is dangerous misinformation. The care for an ectopic surgery isn’t illegal anywhere, the procedure is not an abortion, and AOC telling women it is could cause them not to get care. “Treatment for an ectopic pregnancy is not elective abortion. Conflating the two is disgusting and promotes the bloodshed of innocent unborn lives to elective abortion. Stop,” Lila Rose said.

According to POLITICO on Thursday, the conservative jurist was forced to leave a swanky DC-area steakhouse through a rear exit because the establishment was inundated with demonstrators.
Kavanaugh was eating at Morton’s in downtown Washington, D.C., when a mob descended upon the establishment and demanded that the manager kick him out.
The justice was able to finish his meal but then he was ushered out of the back in order to avoid the protestors.

“We hear Kavanaugh snuck out the back with his security detail,” tweeted ShutdownDC. “Morton’s should be ashamed for welcoming a man who so clearly hates women.”

According to POLITICO, the protest only served to anger the restaurant.
“While the court had no official comment on Kavanaugh’s behalf and a person familiar with the situation said he did not hear or see the protesters and ate a full meal but left before dessert, Morton’s was outraged about the incident,” the report continued.
A steakhouse rep sent POLITICO’s report a statement: “Honorable Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh and all of our other patrons at the restaurant were unduly harassed by unruly protestors while eating dinner at our Morton’s restaurant. Politics, regardless of your side or views, should not trample the freedom at play of the right to congregate and eat dinner. There is a time and place for everything. Disturbing the dinner of all of our customers was an act of selfishness and void of decency.”
The incident at Morton’s comes after Kavanaugh was targeted for assassination last month following a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.
