A polling firm known for its spot-on predictions and accuracy has made a big pick for the 2024 presidential outcome.
AtlasIntel, known for its accurate insights, conducted a poll showing former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden by 5.2 points in a full-ballot estimate. This marks an increase from a February poll by the same agency, which had Trump leading by 2 points.
Other findings from the poll included 56.3% disapproving of Biden’s performance as president, while only 39.7% approve. 52.5% said they evaluated Biden’s performance as “bad/terrible,” 29.4% said “excellent/good,” and 17.6% said “regular.”
Biden got additional unwanted news from a majority of Americans in a new survey following his terrible debate performance against Trump on Thursday.
According to a CBS News/YouGov poll released on Sunday, a staggering 72 percent of Americans believe that Biden does not have the “mental and cognitive health to serve as president.” This marks a 7-point increase from just three weeks ago. In comparison, voters are evenly divided on whether former President Donald Trump has the mental and cognitive capacity for the job, with 50 percent saying he does and 49 percent saying he does not.
According to the survey, an overwhelming number of Americans, including almost half of his own party, believe that the president should not run for reelection. Overall, 72 percent of respondents told CBS/YouGov that Biden should not seek reelection, and this includes a surprising 46 percent of Democrats.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence is doubling down on whether he will support his 2016 running mate and former President Donald Trump.
After briefly running for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, Pence said he would be withholding support for Trump this time around, claiming that the former commander-in-chief’s policies are not conservative enough.
Pence, whose rapport with Trump deteriorated following the January 6 riots, during which the president criticized him for not returning disputed electoral slates to state legislatures as president of the Senate, said that his announcement should not be surprising.
“It should come as no surprise that I will not be endorsing Donald Trump this year. I’m incredibly proud of the record of our administration. It was a conservative record that made America more prosperous, more secure, and saw conservatives appointed to our courts in a more peaceful world,” Pence said on Fox News.
Pence also said that Trump was evading his conservative bona fides this time around, such as being committed to lowering the debt and the “sanctity of human life.”
He further remarked that Trump’s recent statements regarding China and his stance against banning TikTok in the U.S. represent a significant shift from his previous strong opposition to the Chinese-controlled social media platform during his presidency.
“What I’m going to spend the rest of this year on is talking about what we should be for. And that is the broad mainstream conservative agenda that’s defined our party and always made America strong, prosperous, and free,” he said.
