Political allies Marjorie Taylor Green and Lauren Boebert may be on the verge of a major falling out after the Colorado Republican took aim at the Georgia lawmaker during an event over the weekend. Greene slammed Boebert over a remark she made during America Fest 2022, which was sponsored by Turning Point USA.

Specifically, Boebert made reference to Greene’s prior remarks about her “Jewish space lasers” comment when she was answering a question about not supporting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for Speaker. Greene has offered her support for McCarthy in exchange for pledges regarding future investigations, Red State reported.

“I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes,” Greene noted in a short Twitter thread.

“She gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite,” Greene continued.

“The country is facing extremely difficult times. Americans expect conservative fighters like us to work together to Save America and that is the only mission I’m 100% devoted to, not high school drama and media sound bites. Save America! Defeat the Democrats!” she added.

Boebert’s race became the last one for the House that was decided. A recount completed last week confirmed that she won her re-election bid against Democrat Adam Frisch in Colorado.

“Secretary of State Jena Griswold announced the results Monday evening. Frisch netted a total of four votes in the recount, far from enough to close a 500-plus vote gap with Boebert. An Aspen City Councilman, Frisch had already conceded the race last month after the first tally put him just under the state’s margin for a mandatory recount,” the Associated Press reported.

Frisch conceded to Boebert late last month in the race for Colorado’s third congressional district, but the race was unexpectedly competitive, and Boebert was expected to do much better.

Boebert released a video on Twitter last month after Frisch conceded the race.

“I’m told that there are less than 200 votes outstanding, which makes me so happy to announce we have won this race!” she said. “With this victory and with Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, we can focus on the issues that actually matter most, including getting inflation under control, increasing our domestic energy supply, securing the southern border, and being a strong check on the White House.”

“Now, over the next couple of weeks, this race will have an automatic recount, which will be completed in early December,” she said. “My campaign team and our lawyers will definitely make sure everything is conducted properly. Past recounts in Colorado have resulted in far fewer votes being adjusted than anything that could affect the current outcome we’re seeing tonight in this race.”

“So come January, you can be certain of two things. I will be sworn in for my second term as your congresswoman, and Republicans can finally turn Pelosi’s House back into the People’s House,” the representative said.

“Thank you to every volunteer that made calls, knocked doors, and, of course, to each of you that is entrusted me with your vote. I am honored to be your representative. I pray for you and I am so grateful for you. God bless you tonight,” she said.

Greene, on the other hand, easily won reelection, and earlier this month, she called on Republicans to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland and block the use of taxpayer money for a special counsel to probe former President Donald Trump.

Greene called on the GOP to “refuse to appropriate any funding to Merrick Garland’s Special Counsel and defund any part of the DOJ acting on behalf of the Democrat party as a taxpayer-funded campaign arm for the Democrat’s 2024 presidential nominee.”

Greene said McCarthy would invoke the Holman rule, a procedural measure by which the House may adjust appropriations legislation to reduce the salary of or fire specific government employees. They may also use it to cut specific programs.
