Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has been steadfast in her support for former President Donald Trump, criticized the Biden administration and Democratic prosecutors for the multiple indictments they brought against the 45th president.

In a string of posts on social media, the Republican lawmaker from Georgia declared her intention to vote for Trump regardless of the outcome of the election. The most recent accusations were characterized by Greene as “a communist attack” on the right of Americans to elect their leaders, according to one of his tweets, Newsweek reported.

She declared, “I will still vote for Trump even if he’s in jail. This is a communist attack on America’s first amendment to vote for who THE PEOPLE want for President by an attempt to take Trump off the ballots through a politically weaponized DOJ. People know exactly what this is.”

“Republicans need to open their eyes. The media is going to do their best to try to say impeaching Biden is political paybacks. That’s 100% BULLSH*T. Impeachment of Biden is because he’s a CRIMINAL and we have a mountain of evidence proving it and gaining more daily. Don’t fall for the stupid plays of media spin and interview pressures. DO THE RIGHT THING. Impeach the CRIMINAL IN CHEIF [sic]!!!” she noted in another tweet.

“These egregious impeachments must be expunged,” Greene posted on the X platform, formally known as Twitter. “They are stains on the House of Representatives that should not be allowed to stand. It’s simple. If you voted NO on impeachment then you should be able to easily vote YES to expungement.”

She added: “The indictments of President Trump is a political assassination attempt by Joe Biden and his henchmen to remove the leading presidential candidate from the ballot in 2024. The American people will reelect President Trump!”

The Georgia Republican firebrand has also been busy in Congress this month.

So far, Greene’s efforts to rally Republicans to punish Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of homeland security, for doing nothing to stem the inundation of illegal immigrants have failed.

Although her efforts to remove him from office for neglect of duty were unsuccessful in recent weeks, she stated on Sunday in an interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News that she would try again following the Thanksgiving holiday.

“This time, the Republicans in Congress better deliver different results,” Greene said on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “Mayorkas must be impeached, and the invasion must stop.”

“Americans deserve security and sovereignty. After the holiday break, I’ll reintroduce my articles to impeach Secretary Mayorkas. Congress must choose between protecting our homeland or the Biden regime. I will not stop fighting for border security and the rule of law,” she wrote on the X platform in a post that contained a video clip of her interview.

Last week, all voting Democrats and eight Republicans approved a motion that transferred Greene’s resolution for impeachment to the House Homeland Security Committee. This committee is currently looking into Mayorkas for alleged dereliction of duty, which could potentially lead to future impeachment proceedings.

The DHS has criticized the Republican-led Congress for their “reckless impeachment charades,” according to a spokesperson.

Even though it’s a very high bar right now, a few Republican holdouts have stated that they intend to proceed with impeachment against Mayorkas—but only in a slow and methodical way that guarantees a conviction in the Senate, the Daily Wire reported.

“We didn’t kill a Mayorkas impeachment. We voted to launch hearings and make our case to the entire nation. If we impeached Mayorkas today, the Senate would have rejected it today,” one of the holdouts, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), said in a post to X. “House Democrats will now have to defend Biden or admit his border disaster. We can win this.”

Greene, however, emphasized the importance of moving quickly against Mayorkas, citing the high volume of drug trafficking associated with the migrant border crisis as well as the increased potential for a terrorist attack.

“It’s absolutely outrageous,” she told Bartiromo. “I serve on the Homeland Committee. We have heard, after hearing, parents cry over their children murdered by fentanyl. I mean, we are wondering how many… dead American bodies are going to have to pile up before Republicans in Congress get serious about impeaching Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.”
