X CEO and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has extended an offer to host a “Spaces” event on the platform to Vice President Kamala Harris after holding one with former President Donald Trump on Monday, a conversation that reportedly garnered more than a billion views globally.
While most of the mainstream media headlines and stories about the Trump event were negative and entirely misleading, Musk nevertheless noted on the platform Tuesday morning: “Happy to host Kamala on an X Spaces too.”
The offer is particularly poignant, given that Harris has not held a formal press conference more than three weeks after President Joe Biden decided to end his reelection bid and endorse her to be the Democratic Party’s nominee.
“While she has been busy on the campaign trail, spoken at various events, and given informal remarks to reporters at various points, she hasn’t done a formal press conference or wide-ranging interview in the three-plus weeks that have followed,” Fox News reported Wednesday morning.
Harris briefly spoke to reporters traveling with her in Michigan on Thursday. In a minute-long conversation, she expressed anticipation for the upcoming debate with former President Trump on September 10 on ABC and defended the military record of her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. She also mentioned that her team is working to arrange an interview by the end of the month. On Saturday, in Phoenix, she addressed reporters again, discussing her policy platform, the latest developments in the Gaza war, and the role of the Federal Reserve, Fox noted.
Many on the X platform agreed with Musk’s offer to Harris and encouraged her to accept, while others speculated that her handlers would never subject her to an unscripted event on such a large platform.
She should take you up on this offer.
But she likely won’t. This is why she hasn’t done anything in 22+ days.
She’s not capable of doing it and her handlers will never let it happen .

that would ruin her current election strategy of letting everyone imagine that she is perfect in every way because they don’t know anything about her other than she isn’t donald trump

Yeah, that would be “epic” 😆😆
The interview would receive only a small fraction of the audience the Trump interview had, it wouldn’t last over 2 hours because she would have nothing of substance to say, and most of the audience would quickly tune out in boredom and disgust. pic.twitter.com/RTb1LG2hxb

I am betting on time traveling before Kamala dares to appear on a one-on-one interview.

23 days and counting and the woman is still hiding from the press and refusing to do any interview. 8 days and counting now for her running mate too.
So I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one, Elon.

The left-leaning Washington Post editorial board criticized Harris on Sunday for avoiding media scrutiny, noting that her opponent “at least he has taken questions.” The Post urged her to address her numerous policy shifts, including changes on fracking, border security, and private health insurance.
CNN’s John Berman challenged Harris spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod on Tuesday, suggesting that if Harris wanted to, she could make time for an interview. Later that day, Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) told Berman that Harris avoided tough questions due to her “indefensible” record.
The issue has gotten the attention of GOP vice-presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance. During a Wednesday press conference in Detroit, Vance urged reporters to “show a little bit of self-awareness” and pushed Harris to “do the job of a presidential candidate” by speaking to them.
