Billionaire Elon Musk urged Pennsylvanians to support the former president in November as he joined the stage at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, while wearing a black MAGA hat.

After a shooter shot and wounded him, two of his supporters, and one himself in July, Trump went back to the location of the attempted assassination. In addition to criticizing President Joe Biden for being unable to “climb a flight of stairs,” Musk complimented Trump for his behavior in the moments following his shooting on Saturday.

“As you can see, I’m not just MAGA, I’m dark MAGA,” Musk told a roaring crowd. “The true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire. And we had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot.”

Musk then pleaded with those who were listening to get their friends and relatives to register to vote and support Trump, threatening that “it will be the last election” if the former president is not victorious in November.

“I think the most important election of our lifetime. This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote effectively. You got 14 states now that don’t require voter ID. California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID for voting,” Musk declared.

“I still can’t believe that’s real. So how are you supposed to have a good, proper election if there’s no ID is meaningless. Free speech is the bedrock of democracy and if people don’t know what’s going on, if they don’t know the truth, how can you make an informed vote? You must have free speech in order to have democracy,” Musk continued.

“That’s why it’s the First Amendment. And the Second Amendment is there to ensure that we have the First Amendment. President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America…So I have I have one want to ask for everyone in the audience, everyone who watches this video and everyone in the live stream,” he added.

Musk concluded, “This one request is very important. Register to vote. Okay. And get everyone you know and everyone you don’t know. Drag them to register to vote. There’s only two days left to register to vote in Georgia and Arizona. 48 hours. Like text people now, now, and then make sure they actually do vote. If they don’t. This will be the last election. That’s my prediction. Nothing’s more important.”

After the rally, a photo of Musk and Trump went viral on social media.

Musk has been Trump’s closest ally throughout his 2024 campaign.

Currently, a company with a large Musk funding base is in charge of running the former president’s ground operations in the seven states that are most likely to decide who will occupy the White House in January.

Trump’s “wider ground game operation in crucial battleground states is now largely outsourced to America Pac, the political action committee backed by” Musk, The Guardian reported, citing multiple sources.

The Trump campaign initially anticipated having multiple PACs engaged in get-out-the-vote efforts. However, with just six weeks until the election, only America PAC has a significant presence, employing 300 to 400 paid and part-time individuals to knock on doors in each of the seven battleground states, according to sources who spoke with the outlet.

America PAC is also the only organization—whether affiliated with the Trump campaign or not—that aims to conduct three “passes” of homes belonging to likely Trump voters in every battleground state before Election Day.
