Last week, former First Lady Melania Trump joined “Fox & Friends” to discuss her husband’s latest White House bid, noting that if he wins a second term, she’s much more prepared for what comes next than after his 2016 victory over two-time loser Hillary Clinton.
The conversation initially centered around Melania Trump’s self-titled new book, “Melania,” with the co-hosts also asking about former President Trump and how the family is handling the heated campaign cycle.
“Here it is, we have all read it. I have mine earmarked and lots of notes. It is fabulous,” Ainsley Earhardt began. “Stories about being First Lady, your upbringing. You have to pick it up. Thank you for coming on to talk about it. Congratulations. One week away, how are you feeling? How is the family?”
“I feel good. My husband, he’s all over the country traveling. We saw Sunday evening, Sunday through the day was an amazing day, a lot of support out there,” Melania said.
Co-host Steve Doocy then asked: “You have been through the campaign cycle three times, 2016, 2020, and now. How does it compare?”
“It is kind of same as 2016, the support out there is incredible. It is just people see what is going on in the country and what kind of leadership they want. They want prosperity. They want American dream coming back. So that is what we will decide on November 5,” Melania responded.
Co-host Lawrence Jones then chimed in with another question. “You made it very clear when your husband decided to run for president, you were going to be a mother and take care of Barron. You took the stage on Sunday and surprised the audience. Why are we seeing you more now in the final stretch?”
“It was an incredible place,” Melania said, joining Donald on stage at Madison Square Garden. “I love New York City, and I think people to hear from me on that day, Madison Square Garden, support we have, and I want to support my husband, for him and for everybody else.”
“I know you’re like the former president, don’t want to count anything before it is done,” co-host Brian Kilmeade said. “If polls are correct and you win, are you anxious to be First Lady again?”
“I’m not anxious. This time is different. I have more experience and knowledge,” Melania said. “I was in the White House before. When you go in, you know what to expect. You know what kind of people you need to get, people on your team that have the same vision as me.”

Earlier this month, Melania told Fox News about the impact of left-wing attacks on her husband and their family as a whole.
As she embarks on a media tour to promote her highly anticipated memoir, the former first lady revealed that a charitable donation she made to fund scholarships for foster children was rejected due to her last name.
“It was all agreed that they will accept my donations for the foster students and because of the board directors, they called back, they found out that it was me, they didn’t, they said we cannot go on,” she said.
The donation was made to an unnamed university after the Trump Family left the White House in 2021, she said.
“And it’s very, very sad because who suffered? They were children from foster community. They didn’t have a scholarship that somebody would provide for them. They didn’t want to do business with me because of political affiliation, my political beliefs,” Melania added.
In another part of the interview, Melania defended her husband against common media and left-wing criticisms of his character.
“They need to know that he is passionate about this country, passionate about women and men as well, everybody. He wants to make their lives better safe, prosperous. He’s warm, he loves people,” she said.
“And I understand that maybe sometimes they see him tough and some tweets maybe they would not like it and they didn’t like it. I understand that, but he needs to fight back, too. When he’s attacked, he needs to fight back. He only wants good for this country. The business of politics could be very mean and cutthroat,” Melania added.
