First conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced that he had advanced stage cancer, but then things got worse.
People on the left actually celebrated the diagnosis. The evil, vile progressives, whose mantra is “love trumps hate” heralded the news, included one schoolteacher from Wisconsin.
Travis Sarandos, a Milwaukee teacher, took to Twitter after the announcement and said that the beloved radio host deserved it, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
“Limbaugh absolutely should have to suffer from cancer. it’s awesome that he’s dying, and hopefully it is as quick as it is painful,” he said.
His tweet was in reply to someone else’s who said that they wanted the host to recover as quickly as possible.
There was outrage from the public after radio host Mark Belling posted about the tweet on Tuesday on the blog that he runs.
“The teacher, Travis Sarandos, is listed as a teacher of creative writing and journalism at Milwaukee School For The Arts. Some Twitter respondents criticized his tweet but he responded by re-affirming his original tweet. Sarandos has tweeted in the past that he ‘hates’ the Catholic Church and believes Christian conservatives should be ‘exterminated.’ He has tweeted about ‘poisoning the communion wine,’” Belling said.
“Limbaugh has disclosed on his program that he has “advanced” lung cancer and will miss a number of programs while receiving treatment. A compilation screenshot of Sarandos’ tweet about Limbaugh and his tweet about Christian conservatives is below. As of this writing, all of his tweets remain on his account. His Twitter handle is @travis_mke,” he said.
But after that writing not only did the teacher delete the tweet but also his entire Twitter account.
The first response of the Milwaukee Public Schools was to say that the teacher did not speak for the district, but they later confirmed that Sarandos was placed on leave.
Limbaugh announced to his radio audience that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
And on Tuesday, during the State of the Union address, Limbaugh received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Limbaugh recounted how the president invited him to the address when he was in treatment on Tuesday.
“Rush! Rush! How you doing, buddy? Great to hear from you! Hey, look, what are you doing later today?” he said on his show of the president’s phone call to him.
“Well, look, what’s the doctor’s name? I want to call him and have him delay it for a couple days ’cause I need you down here tonight,” the president said.
“Look, your health comes first; there’s no question. But can’t they just do half of what they’re gonna do and then send you down here? Believe me, you don’t want to miss this! It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be great. You don’t want to miss this,” he said Trump said.
He said that they rescheduled treatment and got back to the hotel to prepare for the event.
“So, we were escorted into the room by Mrs. Trump, and we chat with her for two or three minutes, and then, the Trump family began to come in — Ivanka, Donald Jr., Eric, their wives, spouses, and then, the president came in and sat down and started talking about the award and the medal and what it means and how special it is and how thrilled he was that we were able to make it,” the host said.
“One of the reasons I was reluctant was I just wasn’t sure I deserved this. I mean, it’s the highest civilian honor that the country awards,” he said.
It was a beautiful speech and a beautiful ceremony, but you cannot expect a liberal to compr
