It is sad to see how much former President Donald Trump has seemingly melted the minds of so many in the Democrat Party, and some in the Republican Party.
House Speaker and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi is a shining example of one such person and yesterday, after the former president was once again acquitted in an impeachment trial, she had an epic meltdown in front of the world, The Daily Mail reported.
She interrupted the victory speech of House impeachment managers, which was strange because they did not win, to whine and complain about not winning.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi denounced the senators who made Donald Trump's acquittal possible as a ‘cowardly group of Republicans’ and blamed McConnell for not allowing the House to deliver the impeachment charge to the Senate while Trump was still in the White House pic.twitter.com/cVu6gtT8uL

“It had not been my intention to come to this press availability,” the Speaker said. “But what we saw today was a cowardly group of Republicans who apparently have no options because they were afraid to defend their job – respect the institution in which they serve.
“But why I came over was because I listened to Mitch McConnell,” she said.
McConnell took the Senate floor shortly after Democrats failed to earn the two-thirds votes needed to convict the former president – and the Republican leader argued Congress no longer had jurisdiction over Trump’s actions because is no longer president.
Pelosi angrily recounted the events of January where McConnell, who was still Senate majority leader at the time, refused to accept the impeachment article against Trump before Joe Biden’s inauguration.
“So for him to get up there and make this indictment against the president and then say, ‘but I can’t vote for it because it’s after the fact.’ The fact that he established! The fact that he established that it could not be delivered after the inauguration,” she said.
You know, we do not like to give Speaker Pelosi any type of credit but she does have a valid point on this.
House Minority Leader McConnell was the majority leader when the former president was impeached. He prevented the impeachment from reaching the Senate when, in his mind, he would have had jurisdiction.
Then he used his speech after the impeachment trial to say he could not convict Trump because he had no jurisdiction. It was a classic case of CYOA while being a weasel.
If Pelosi stopped there she would not have looked so ridiculous but, for a person who had to know what the verdict was going to be from the day she impeached the former president, her meltdown got more intense.
One reporter asked her about censuring former President Trump, a symbolic act that would have no real meaning, and she went off again.
“Oh these cowardly senators who couldn’t face up to what the president did and what was at stake for our country are now going to have a chance to give a little slap on the wrist,” she said.
Nancy Pelosi is far too emotional to hold public office. First she was ripping up speeches she didn’t like, now she is storming about the Capitol babbling like a loon and hitting the podium when she doesn’t get her way. I thought the “adults” were in charge. pic.twitter.com/EN9srSKkMM

“We censure people for using stationary for the wrong purpose,” she said as she started waving papers around like a wild woman. “We don’t censure people for inciting insurrections.”
She said that the reasons Republicans did not convict Trump was because they believe they cannot find another job.
“What is so important about any one of us, what is so important about the political survival about any one of us that is more important than our Constitution that we take an oath to protect and defend?” she said.
“All the things he said – oh my gosh – about Donald Trump and how horrible he was, and is, and then say but the time that the House chose to bring it over – no we didn’t, you chose not to receive it,” she said.
