A presidential historian has dropped some bombshells about First Lady Jill Biden and why he believes her husband, President Joe Biden, is running for reelection despite his obvious mental acuity deficit.

Douglas Brinkley, author of “The Unfinished Presidency,” told CBS News’ “Face The Nation” on Sunday that Jill has done the exact opposite of what other first ladies have done, the Daily Wire reports.

He pointed out that both former Presidents Harry Truman and Lyndon B. Johnson opted not to seek a second term in office because their wives expressed no interest in continuing to serve.

“She is the vital part. Dr. Jill Biden is it,” he said. “You know, if you go back to 1952, Harry Truman could have run, and he didn’t. Why? Well, the Korean War and, you know, other reasons. But — but Bess wanted to go back to Independence [Missouri] — she didn’t like it in Washington.”

“If you cut to ’68, Lyndon Johnson was – quit in March of ’68, and people will say because of Walter Cronkite. No,” he continued. “The big thing was his health was bad. He had a bad heart, he was smoking, high blood pressure, tension, and Lady Bird Johnson didn’t want to stay in. And she wanted – let’s go back to Texas and convinced Johnson to step down.”

“That’s not the case with Jill Biden. She likes power. She wants to stay. She wants some sense of revenge,” he continued. “She teaches in Virginia Community College. This milieu around our building here, this is her home. And the idea of relinquishing it all after you’ve taken the slings and arrows of the last years of attacks, and at the last minute, just when you get all the delegates, you’re going to say, I’m going to open it up to a bunch of people — it’s very childish when you read those kinds of reports.”

Various reports throughout Joe Biden’s presidency have highlighted the amount of power that his wife wields.

Jill Biden questioned senior aides about why they failed to stop President Joe Biden during a nearly two-hour press conference in January 2022, according to a new book.

“She had watched the news conference, and the look on her face told everyone in the room — from the president on down — that they had some explaining to do,” New York Times reporter Katie Rogers wrote of Jill Biden in “American Woman,” according to Axios, which obtained a copy of the book.

“Why didn’t anyone stop that?” asked the first lady, who is known as the president’s protector.

According to a new book, Jill asked: “Where were you guys? ‘Where was the person who was going to end the press conference?”

Jill Biden reportedly questioned aides about stopping a presidential press conference two years ago. This follows the release of Robert Hur’s report on President Biden’s handling of classified documents, which revealed his poor memory.

Joe Biden has rarely held solo press conferences during his presidency, instead opting for joint press conferences with foreign leaders.

In her book, Rogers reveals that Jill Biden confronted President Biden and his aides following the Jan. 19, 2022, news conference commemorating his first year in office.

During the nearly two-hour conference, Biden discussed various issues but occasionally stumbled over facts and reacted strongly to a reporter who cited his remarks comparing political adversaries to segregationists, Fox News reported.

“She had watched the news conference, and the look on her face told everyone in the room — from the president on down — that they had some explaining to do,” Rogers wrote in the excerpt. “‘Why didn’t anyone stop that?’ she demanded.”

Rogers wrote that the First Lady’s hostile reaction even cowered her husband into silence.
