President Joe Biden is blaming everyone and everything other than himself for inflation and gas prices, and now he has humiliated himself in front of the world, and drawn the ire of the Amazon founder.
The president tweeted on Saturday a demand for gas companies to lower their prices and it did not work the way he likely wanted it to.
“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now,” the president said.
“Now US President finally realized that capitalism is all about exploitation. He didn’t believe this before,” Chen Weihua, EU Bureau Chief and columnist for China Daily, which is owned by the Chinese government, said.

“My comment on Biden’s tweet last year, when he didn’t believe that greedy capitalism is all about exploitation,” he along with a screenshot of a previous tweet to the president.

The tweet was also responded to by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics,” he said.

And they were not the only ones who responded to the president’s tweet.
“My message to the guy running your teleprompter: It’s YOUR fault. Reverse the dozens of executive orders, regulations & agency actions targeting American energy, and gas prices will fall…FAST,” Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said.,

“I showed this to the gas station attendant and he said ‘why are you showing me this’ and I was like ‘the president said to charge me less’ and he smirked but charged me the same amount :(,” Dogecoin founder Shibetoshi Nakamoto said.

“You know as well as everyone that the Federal Reserve actually sets the prices – through rampant inflation. When 40% of the dollars in the world was printed in one year, inflation sets in and prices skyrocket. Just yesterday you were blaming Putin. We see through your scam,” the Libertarian Party said.

“I don’t understand what the WH thinks it is doing here. Do they think complaining will cause prices to fall? Or that voters will reward the complaining as ‘doing something’? Or that this effectively shifts voter assessments of blame? All these options seem absurd,” podcaster Josh Barro said.

In the oil crisis of the 1970s, America lowered the speed limit to 55mph, introduced fuel economy standards for new cars and even tried gasoline rationing to try to reduce demand for oil. All to reduce demand and reduce the price. Now? Begging private firms to just charge less https://t.co/zd4pbex0ML
