Top-rated podcaster Joe Rogen has called out Vice President Kamala Harris’ claims marking the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot that it was on the scale of the 9-11 and Pearl Harbor attacks “insane.”

The two attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 and more than 2,400 Americans respectively, were used by Harris to try and make the Jan. 6 riot seem far more serious than it was, according to critics.

“Certain dates echo throughout history, including dates that instantly remind all who have lived through them — where they were and what they were doing when our democracy came under assault. Dates that occupy not only a place on our calendars but a place in our collective memory. December 7th, 1941. September 11th, 2001. And January 6th, 2021,” Harris claimed during a speech in Statuary Hall to mark the anniversary.

Her remarks led Rogan to respond: “This is complete insanity. Look, Jan 6 was embarrassing; it was pathetic; it was confusing to me. ‘Cause, there are parts of it that confused me—the parts where you have these clear agent provocateurs in the audience calling for people to go into the Capitol. … There’s a video of cops opening up barriers. What is that? Why did they do that? Has there ever been an explanation of that?”

Guest Adam Curry pointed out, “We really haven’t seen 10,000 hours of footage, which is held under lock and key, so we can’t really know exactly, but …”

Rogan then read Harris’ statement before adding, “That’s insane.”

Several people took Harris to task after she made her outrageous comparison (one person was killed during the Jan. 6 riot — an unarmed, small-in-stature female Air Force veteran named Ashli Babbitt).

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) fired back, telling Fox News host Sean Hannity, “The most disgusting part of the day was what you referenced in your monologue, where the vice president of the United States says January 6th was the equivalent to Pearl Harbor, was the equivalent to 9/11. Tell that to the granddaughter whose grandfather gave his life on D-Day. Tell that to the son whose dad was one of the firefighters who went into the tower on 9/11.”

“Or frankly, tell that to Max Soviak’s family – Max Soviak, one of the 13 people, from our district, one of the 13 people who gave his life for our country this summer. Go tell that to them,” Jordan added, in reference to Ohioan Maxton Soviak, 22, one of the U.S. service members killed in the late August terror attack at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan.

“This is from the same lady who was raising money to bail people out of jail who attack law enforcement in the summer of 2020,” Jordan added. “Go tell that to those individuals. That’s how ridiculous and out of touch the Democrats are.”

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld also blasted President Biden and Democrats for using Jan. 6 to beat up on political opponents.

“Why are we — probably the majority of Americans — letting anyone dictate a phony narrative under the guise of an anniversary unless it is about the anniversary of Ashli Babbitt’s murder because that’s more valuable than anything we listened to today?” he told “The Five” last week.

“And it’s easy to commemorate one day, right, one day. Good luck commemorating the riots after George Floyd or the riots after Jacob Blake, or the riots after Trump was elected in 2016,” a disgusted Gutfeld continued.

“You’d have to commemorate every single day. You would run out of damn candles if you commemorated that stuff. But this is easy. This is easy. It’s one day. They are trying to turn it into Pearl Harbor. They are trying to turn it into 9/11, but you can’t commemorate their crimes, because then you will realize how little the media and the Democrats cared about your actual suffering during those riots,” he added angrily.

“So, they do this to place a target on the backs of their political enemies, the rubes. And they’re doing it as a coordinated effort and they want this thing to be permanent. Every year we are going to have to do that. I say no, F you,” he exclaimed.
