A pair of House Democrats are asking FBI Director Christopher Wray to open a criminal probe into President Donald Trump after a leaked phone call showed him pleading with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to overturn his state’s election, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
“As members of Congress and former prosecutors, we believe Donald Trump engaged in the solicitation of, or conspiracy to commit, a number of election crimes,” Reps. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., and Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., wrote in a letter to Wray on Monday. “We ask you to open an immediate criminal investigation into the president.”
In their letter, Lieu and Rice allege, “The evidence of election fraud by Mr. Trump is now in broad daylight.”
“Given the more than ample factual predicate, we are making a criminal referral to you to open an investigation into Mr. Trump,” the lawmakers wrote.
But the recording of his conversation with Raffensperger has led to a more severe response from Trump’s Democratic opponents. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said Sunday that the president’s conduct was “impeachable,” while Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., said it “merits nothing less than a criminal investigation.”
President Trump held a one-hour long phone call on Saturday with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and state election officials on the 2020 election in his state over allegations of voter fraud.
On the phone call, Trump insisted he won the state and threatened vague legal consequences.
Then, of course, someone from Raffensperger’s team leaked the call to the far-left Washington Post.
By Sunday, just 24 hours after the phone call, the Washington Post published a hit piece that featured the recording of the phone call.
Georgia Republican Chairman David Shafer later announced that President Trump and his team filed two lawsuits against Raffensperger for leaking the phone call to the media.
David Shafer: President Donald Trump has filed two lawsuits – federal and state – against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. This was after Raffensperger secretly recorded the “confidential settlement discussion” of that litigation that is still pending. The audio published by the Washington Post is heavily edited and omits the stipulation that all discussions were for the purpose of settling litigation and confidential under federal and state law.

Supposed evidence coming from Georgia shows something that could be very traumatic to the 2020 presidential election, namely thousands of votes being switched from President Donald Trump to former Vice President Joe Biden.
Data scientists testified on Wednesday that their analysis showed 17,650 votes were taken away from President Trump and an additional 12,173 votes were switched from Trump to Biden.
Their analysis said that on-time series election data that was shared online beginning on Dec. 24, Trump’s votes were declining in several counties rather than increasing as would be normal.
The analysis claimed that 17,650 votes were taken from President Trump because of it.
“I want to make that very, very clear that at no point in an incremental process, should you decrement it,” Mealey declared.
The analysis said that a “clear example of vote switching” occurred in Bibb county.
The data purported to show that at 9:11 p.m. local time, the president garnered 29,391 votes as Biden gained 17,218 votes. But when the numbers were updated the next time the president’s votes went to 17,218 as Biden’s changed to 29,391.
In that one event, the scientists believe that their data shows 12,173 votes were switched, in a state that Biden won by 12,670m votes.
This would be a major issue and could have a chilling effect on the election and future elections, as well as citizens’ belief in fair elections, if true. And the “if true” is very important here.
