Donald Trump has gone after Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney in the most “Trumpian” way possible.
Former President George W. Bush announced that he plans to campaign for Cheney to win re-election in the 2022 midterm elections.
In response, Trump sent his supporters a photoshopped image of Cheney and Bush’s faces morphed together.
The face-morphed image appears to have been originally shared by a meme account on Twitter.
The image was used by Trump in a fundraising message for his Save America PAC.

Trump has endorsed Republican attorney Harriet Hageman as she prepares to run against Cheney in the Wyoming Republican primary.
“Cheney is the most prominent member of Congress to vote for Trump’s second impeachment,” Newsmax reported. “Trump met with Hageman last month as he assessed the potential candidate pool, hoping an early endorsement would help clear the field and prevent a crowded primary that might be advantageous to Cheney’s chances.”
“Hageman has previously run for statewide office and finished third in a six-way Republican gubernatorial primary in 2018, getting 21% of the vote. Former State Treasurer Mark Gordon won, followed by investor and Republican megadonor Foster Friess, who had Trump endorsed,” Newsmax added.

Cheney is now no longer recognized as a member of the Republican Party in two Wyoming counties.
A few months ago, the GOP in Park and Carbon counties unanimously voted to rescind their recognition of Cheney as a Republican after she served on the Democrats’ January 6 committee and voted last year to impeach Donald Trump.
“You will no longer be recognized as the official Republican Congressional Representative by the Park County Republican Party,” Park County Republicans chairman Martin Kimmet wrote.
Carbon County Republicans followed suit and also voted unanimously to de-recognize Cheney.
“Park County set up the ball, Carbon County spiked it,” Joey Correnti, chairman of the Carbon County Republican Party, said.
“And now other counties, I say by the end of the week you’ll have at least three or four other counties that are having meetings that will pass a similar resolution,” he added.
“Representative Elizabeth Lynne Cheney, will officially no longer be personally recognized by the Carbon County Republican Party as a ‘REPUBLICAN’ Representative,” the county’s letter reads.
Even some U.S. House Republicans want to push Cheney out of the party.
“The reality is, they’re now basically working with and for the Democrats, and so it’d be awkward for them to be sitting in our committee while we talk about policy, put, you know, strategy and how to stop bad policy from the Democrats and advance good policy from us. It’d be really awkward,” Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona, chairman of the Freedom Caucus.
Biggs “brought up a resolution during a House Republican conference meeting on Tuesday to expel immediately from the conference any person who sits on a committee that they were not appointed to by the Republican leader or the House Republican steering committee,” the Examiner reported.
Biggs also expressed his sentiments in a tweet attacking the two Never-Trumpers:

Other Republicans have sounded off against Cheney and GOP Rep. Adam Kinzinger for serving on the committee.
Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana made similar comments: “I am extremely supportive of Representative Biggs’ resolution, which he attempted to introduce today. You can’t spend halftime in the opponent’s locker room and expect the team to welcome you back for the rest of the game. I hope the GOP Conference will seriously consider this.”
“What should be done to Liz now? I don’t know. I think they’re kind of doing it to themselves,” Texas Rep. Chip Roy said.
“They’re on an island over here, and they’re choosing teams at this point, and they’re saying, ‘Oh, so I’m totally fine saddling up with the speaker of the House of the United States House of Representatives, who, by the way, is killing our country at the border, killing our country on spending.’ … They’re isolating themselves,” Roy added.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy called Cheney and Kinzinger “Pelosi Republicans.
