Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who was the 2016 Democrat presidential nominee, is getting set for another presidential campaign, a former aid to her husband believes.

Dick Morris, who was an advisor to former President Bill Clinton, believes that Hillary Clinton’s criticism of the situation at the Southern border is a sign that she is preparing to challenge for the presidency in 2024.

“Hillary is just dusting off Bill‘s playbook that I wrote for him and applying it herself this year,” he said to radio host John Catsimatidis on WABC, The Daily Mail reported.

He made reference to a recent appearance on MSNBC where Hillary Clinton criticized sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard but did say that “nobody wants open borders.”

“I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run. Bill … said there was a limit to the number of people the US can absorb. And Hilary a week ago … said Americans do not believe in open borders,” the former advisor, who also advised former President Donald Trump, said.

“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president,” he said.

He said that he believes she would wait until after the midterm elections when Republicans are predicted to win back the House before announcing her candidacy.

“She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory,’” he said.

“I know that’s her strategy because it’s the strategy I designed for Bill Clinton in 1992,” he said.

But last month Hillary Clinton vowed that she would never campaign for the presidency again.

She appeared on the CBS Evening News to promote her new Apple TV docuseries “Gutsy” when she was asked about her future plans.

“Would you ever run for president again?” CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell said to the former presidential candidate.

“No, no,” she said, apparently ending the speculation. “But I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that we have a president who respects our democracy and the rule of law and upholds our institutions.”

“What if Donald Trump runs again?” O’Donnell said.

“He should be soundly defeated,” the former secretary of state said.

“It should start in the Republican Party – grow a backbone! Stand up to this guy! And heaven forbid if he gets the nomination, he needs to be defeated roundly and sent back to Mar-a-Lago,” she said.

She then accused former President Donald Trump of being the head of a “seditious conspiracy” prior to January 6, 2021.

“You know, I was the secretary of state. I spent, you know, many days on airplanes, flying from place to place, encouraging people to have a real democracy. And one of the hallmarks of a real democracy is the peaceful transfer of power,” she said. “Was I happy when I beat Donald Trump by nearly 3 million votes but lost the Electoral College? No, I was not happy. Did I ever for a nanosecond think, ‘I’m gonna claim victory and try to get the Democrats to refuse to certify the election?’ No.”

She was also furious that people are still talking about her emails and her private server and spoke about it on Twitter.

“I can’t believe we’re still talking about this, but my emails…” she said on Tuesday. “As Trump’s problems continue to mount, the right is trying to make this about me again. There’s even a ‘Clinton Standard.’ The fact is that I had zero emails that were classified.”

“[Former FBI Director James] Comey admitted he was wrong after he claimed I had classified emails. Trump’s own State Department, under two different Secretaries, found I had no classified emails. That’s right: ZERO,” she said. “By contrast, Trump has hundreds of documents clearly marked classified, and the investigation just started. I’m more tired of talking about this than anyone, but here we are.”
