A prominent name in the real estate sector is slamming the Democratic Party as a “sham” following President Joe Biden’s decision to drop his reelection bid amid swirling questions about his health, declaring it is not the party it once was.
Cardone Capital CEO Grant Cardone told Fox News a day after Biden’s surprise announcement, “The Democratic Party I grew up being part of is no longer about regular people. Now we know it’s all been a sham.”
“First thing I thought when I heard Biden would not run was, ‘We’ve been lied to for over four years,’” he continued. “He should immediately step down.”
Biden’s horrendous debate performance against former President Donald Trump in late June was a shock to many Americans as he stumbled and rambled his way through questions and responses. He often appeared confused, vacant, and unable to clearly enunciate his words. Not long afterward, a growing chorus of Democrats, donors, and party operatives began calling for him to drop out, which he did on Sunday, throwing his support behind his second-in-command, Vice President Kamala Harris.
Now others, including Cardone, believe Biden should leave office altogether, citing his inability to campaign for another term as proof he can no longer be an effective commander-in-chief.
“The idea that he can continue to be the leader of the United States for five more months is insane,” Cardone said. “Knowing his compromised condition, it also means that our country is in ruins not being run by him, but by others… There was not even an explanation to ‘we the people.’”
The events of this week have only further solidified Cardone’s prior support and backing of Trump.
“Personally, I know I can trust him to deregulate business, protect America, put an end to the nonsense, inspire the greatest middle class wealth expansion, and he’ll be great for real estate, which is in big trouble if we don’t lower interest rates immediately,” he explained.
“I’m in the south of France, and people from France, England, Dubai, Serbia, Canada, and Colombia have come up to tell me they can’t believe what is happening in America… They want Trump. These are some of the most successful people in the world,” the real estate tycoon noted further. “They believe him getting up after the assassination [attempt] makes it clear: Trump is the best thing for America and world peace.”
Cardone added that U.S. homebuyers and sellers have grown increasingly optimistic about the market in the wake of last week’s assassination attempt against Trump at a Pennsylvania rally last week.
“[Trump] is the only person living today who can save the American Dream,” he said. “Trump will destroy Kamala, because the policies she stood for and took a knee for have failed. I doubt she will poll well enough for Democrats to nominate her,” the Cardone Capital founder declared.
“No one can beat Trump! Not even Barack, if he could run again. America wants success again.”
In May, Cardone slammed Trump’s conviction on 34 felony counts in Manhattan, suggesting it was a rigged process and noting that because of what happened to the former president and real estate mogul, people were now leery of doing business in New York.
Cardone recently relocated his business out of New York and warned that Trump’s legal issues, including a $355 million fine in a New York civil fraud case in February, would cause serious financial damage to the city.
“I have 15,000 investors with me at Cardone Capital. We’ve raised $1.3 billion. If I went to them today and said, ‘I want to invest in New York City,’ they would not give me money to do that,” the investor argued.
“That’s one of the greatest cities on planet Earth. And nobody wants to go there and do business,” Cardone continued. “I blame the legal system. Clearly, the political system has been weaponized.”
