California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters looked like she was in a trance in a video shared to Twitter that showed her standing behind Speaker of the House and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi as she gave a speech.

The speech took place last Friday at the Summit of the Americas as the Speaker led the Congressional delegation to the conference.

“I want to just say that we associate ourselves with our President’s commitment to the region, as well as his commitment to equity.  Whether we’re talking about economic prosperity to lift all families, migration challenges which impact everyone, health access and equity – a major part of his agenda – the climate emergency, where we can deal with it in a way that does not exacerbate the environmental injustice and, again, the food security issue.  He’s been spelling that out the whole time,” the Speaker said.

“I want you to know that, in the Congress, we fully support and take pride in the President’s agenda that he is advancing here in the Summit of the Americas.  We have a very distinguished delegation to go into more, but first we want to hear from a delegation of the United States Senate – we call it ‘CODEL With Kaine.’  We are very proud of the leadership and the representation the – that our distinguished colleague across the Capitol – Senator Kaine of Virginia.  Thank you for joining us,” she said.

But it was not her words that caught the attention of those on Twitter. It was the appearance of Rep. Waters who looked like she was half asleep.

“What’s wrong with Mad Maxine,” one Twitter user said with the video.

“Damn her whole face is really just sliding off,” Blaze TV host Sara Gonzales said.

“What’s wrong is, she’s about 84 years old and so’s the woman in front of her. You got seniors running the country they’re bound to have ‘senior moments’. Not even trying to be mean to older people, it is what it is though,“ another Twitter user said.

“Both of these senior citizens owe us the dignity of retiring instead of wearing out their constituents until they die while still in office,” another said.

“Why does Maxine Waters have a mask on over her head? If you look at her neck line you can tell its a full face mask. WTF are our politicians doing and why are we still allowing it to continue?” another Twitter user said.

“I’m sorry but that looks like a younger woman wearing a Maxine Waters latex mask call me crazy I don’t care,” another argued.

“Clone, mask, or mummified?” another Twitter user said.

“Maxine waters face froze up today on camera. A short time later it was revealed she is actually Jason’s mom from the movie Halloween,” another said.

In fairness Jason Voorhees was the character in “Friday The 13th” and Michael Myers  was the charter in “Halloween.”

What is even more concerning is that it has been announce that the 83-year-old Rep. Waters, who was standing feet from the 82-year-old Speaker Pelosi, contracted COVID at the summit.

“”Yesterday, after learning of a potential exposure at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, I was notified that I tested positive for COVID. I am currently isolating and have no symptoms,” she said in a press release on Monday.

“I am grateful to be fully vaccinated and to have received two booster shots. If you haven’t received the vaccine and/or booster, I encourage you to do so. I am feeling fine and resting at home,” she said.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who met with President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden, also announced that he had tested positive.

“I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I’ll be following public health guidelines and isolating. I feel okay, but that’s because I got my shots. So, if you haven’t, get vaccinated – and if you can, get boosted. Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other, and ourselves,” he said on Twitter.
