Smollett Dazed By DOJ Announcement, A Special Prosecutor Was Just Assigned To Jussie’s Case

You remember Jussie Smollett, right? The Empire TV show actor was caught faking a dramatic attack on himself last February.

He accused white men wearing “MAGA” hats of attacking him at 2 am during the polar vortex…in Chicago…

Quickly his story fell apart as the Chicago PD accused him of filing a fake report. Even the FBI got involved.

But suddenly, the DA dropped his case. Even though his lie was a serious crime, the Hollywood insider got off scot-free.

Until now.

From Fox News:

A high-profile former U.S. Attorney was appointed special prosecutor Friday morning to re-examine the Jussie Smollett case and why charges were abruptly dropped against him.

Dan Webb was picked to lead the second look at the notorious false report case — including whether new charges should be brought against the “Empire” actor — by Judge Michael Toomin during a hearing in a Chicago criminal court.

Yes — Thank you DOJ!

Toomin ruled back in June the case was rife with “unprecedented irregularities” and needed a special prosecutor to restore the public’s faith in the justice system.

We’ve been waiting a long time to learn about progress into this story.

It was a crime against all Americans when this hoaxer faked this crime.

The media were so fast to condemn honest, patriotic Americans. They smeared people who wore MAGA hats—all based on a lie.

It’s a serious offense to file a fake crime. Non-famous people who do that face jail time.

But mysteriously, Smollett got off without a slap on the wrist. We later learned of some strange interactions between Chicago prosecutors and a former first lady.

Now, finally, some progress is being made. A Department of Justice special prosecutor will hopefully get to the bottom of what happened.

Anyone that bent the rules to help Smollett will be found out. And Smollett himself will face the penalty for his crime.

Do you want Smollett to face real justice for lying about Trump supporters?
