Jim Jordan Sees Huge Shift In Hunter Biden Story, Says Texts ‘Tie In The Entire Family’

Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan believes he is seeing a significant shift regarding the ongoing federal investigation of first son Hunter Biden and expressed his views during a Fox News appearance on Sunday.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo, Jordan suggested “something is up” with the probe because of a new — and sudden — interest in the story by many of the same legacy media outlets that initially dismissed early reports of corruption evidence stemming from materials and emails obtained from a laptop he reportedly abandoned at a computer repair store in Delaware in 2019.

Jordan told Bartiromo that it “sure seems” as though Hunter Biden is going to be indicted by federal officials though he said he could not say for certain.

The Ohio lawmaker pointed to an increase in reporting regarding authentication of contents of a laptop believed to be Hunter Biden’s as it coincides with a wave of grand jury activity.

“You mentioned those two stories from the Washington Post 10 days ago,” the Ohio Republican told host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News.

“I understand they were four minutes apart. One was at 11:00. One was at 11:04. So two eight-page-long stories four minutes apart from the news organization that said 18 months ago there was no story here, this was Russian disinformation,” Jordan continued.

“That tells you something is up. You don’t see the Washington Post do that,” he added.

The Washington Examiner notes further:

While the New York Post led the charge in reporting on the contents of the abandoned laptop, which contained emails detailing Biden’s business dealings and roller-coaster personal life, other major media outlets sought to cast doubt on its authenticity, and Big Tech companies even took steps to suppress its spread in the final weeks of the 2020 election.

Jordan, who is the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, remarked how “interesting” it is that the “story has evolved” in recent weeks, coinciding with rising suspicions that President Joe Biden himself could be drawn into a federal criminal investigation, even as the White House has been adamant in asserting that the president is not involved and that his 52-year-old son did not commit any crimes.

“Remember, it started off as, ‘Oh, it wasn’t his laptop.’ Then it was, ‘Well, it was his laptop, but it was Russian disinformation.’ Now it’s, ‘No, it wasn’t Russian disinformation, but Joe had nothing to do with it,’” Jordan said.

“And now, finally, it is, ‘Well, Joe had something to do with it, but he really didn’t do anything wrong.’ In fact, that’s what his chief of staff, Ron Klain, told us last Sunday on the Sunday shows,” he added.

“So, my, how this story has changed. And now, we find out these text messages and emails that link the entire family, not just Hunter and Joe and — but also uncle, the — Joe’s brother, James Biden, is involved in this as well.”

Hunter Biden waited until shortly after the 2020 election to reveal that he was under federal investigation. He has never denied publicly that the laptop in question is his nor has anyone in Biden’s orbit refuted many of the details that have been reported — among them, that Joe Biden was receiving a monetary cut of all of Hunter’s business deals, according to several emails.

“One particular email dated May 13, 2017, from investor James Gilliar to himself, Hunter Biden’s business associate Rob Walker, and James and Hunter Biden detailed a ‘provisional’ business deal with a Chinese company called CEFC,” the Washington Examiner continued. “The email, in part, asked about ’10 held by H for the big guy,’ as well as ’10’ for ‘Jim.’ It appears ‘H’ is a reference to Hunter Biden, ‘Jim’ is Joe Biden’s brother, and ’10’ is a reference to 10%.”

Former Biden family business partner Tony Bobulinski has said that “the big guy” is Joe Biden, and that the president was well aware of his son’s business deals, despite his denials.

“It sure looks like Joe Biden was involved,” Jordan told Bartiromo.  “So, my, how this story has changed. And now, we find out these text messages and emails that link the entire family, not just Hunter and Joe and — but also uncle, the — Joe’s brother, James Biden, is involved in this as well.”
