Roger Stone, a longtime GOP operative and sometimes-adviser to former President Donald Trump, blasted President Biden over his alleged use of the Justice Department to target opponents, calling the FBI his “personal Gestapo,” a reference to Hitler’s secret police.

Stone, who was pardoned by Trump after he was convicted of lying to Congress about Russian election interference, also labeled a recent subpoena he has received from the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, which is investigating the Capitol Building riot, as “harassment.”After he was sent his subpoena, Stone appeared to implicate others who have either been subpoenaed as well, were Trump allies, or both.

“We have a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI … as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo,” he told John Catsimatidis on his WABC 770 AM radio show in an interview that aired Sunday.

The New York Post noted further:

He also questioned the reasoning behind the FBI’s decision to raid the home of James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, as part of an investigation into the theft of Biden’s daughter Ashley’s diary before the 2020 election.

Project Veritas did not publish the contents of the diary, but the National File blog released handwritten pages from it about a week before the election.

“If a journalist has [Biden’s] daughter’s diary, particularly if the journalist hasn’t even published it, or commented on it, why would you search their home? Why would you seize their computers? It’s very chilling,” Stone told the radio host.

He also accused the Jan. 6 panel, which is dominated by Democrats and features just two Republicans, both of whom are some of Trump’s biggest critics, of sending out subpoenas like they are a “press release.”

“I immediately began thinking how many of my ‘Roger Stone Still Did Nothing Wrong’ T-shirts can I sell to raise the money for my legal defense. … This is epically expensive. I’ve gotten 11 harassment civil suits against me — all baseless, unsubstantiated, but tremendously sensationalized — dismissed,” Stone added.

“I’ve still got six to go, not to mention [Congress’] new level of harassment. … They put
enormous financial pressure on you, and they seek to write … a subpoena as if it’s a press release,” Stone continued.

“Isn’t it interesting that they released the subpoena on me to the press before my lawyers even received it and had a chance to read it. What’s that about?” he asked.

Stone went on to name names and point fingers in social media posts last week after receiving his subpoena.

“Given what I know, I am perplexed as to why the January 6 committee has not issued a subpoena to Katrina Pierson, in other words someone deeply involved in the violent and unlawful acts of January 6, rather than me, given that I was not there and have no advance knowledge or involvement whatsoever in the events at the Capitol [t]hat day,” he noted on his Telegraph account, pointing a finger at the former 2016 Trump campaign national spokesperson.

Newsweek, however, noted: “Despite Stone’s claim, Pierson has been subpoenaed by the House select committee. In total, as of Monday, some 40 individuals from Trump’s orbit have been subpoenaed by the committee. Stone, a political consultant, was subpoenaed in the latest batch of five subpoenas issued this week.”

Stone also implicated Trump’s political strategist Steve Bannon, who has also been sent a subpoena.

“One person worried about having their name come up in the Maxwell/Epstein trial is Steve Bannon who visited Epstein at least three times in both New York and Paris,” Stone wrote.

“Bannon’s claim that he communicated with Epstein to ‘find out what he had on Trump’ is false in view of the fact that Sloppy Steve visited Epstein after the election and after Steve had been fired by Trump,” he continued.

“Was Bannon Seeking cash or children to have sex with? The Epstein /Bannon connection is documented in the New York [P]ost and elsewhere.”
