A Republican congressman from Texas vented his frustration on President Joe Biden and Republicans he believes are complicit in failing to act on the continuing migrant and drug-smuggling crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Rep. Chip Roy blasted the president during an appearance on the Fox Business Network Tuesday morning after being shown a video clip of what appeared to be armed drug cartel figures crossing the border, saying, “These cartels are emboldened; they are empowered by a president who does not care about our southern border.”

“He is allowing it to become completely run by the cartels. And if anybody has not seen ‘The Sound of Freedom,’ go see it. Go see what’s happening in the world. Go see who has the power. Go see who is, you know, abusing these young girls, these young children,” he continued, making a reference to a new film starring Jim Caviezel, who plays a former DHS agent dedicated to combatting child trafficking.

“We’re allowing that to happen on our watch. No more, that’s my message. Governor Abbott is being sued — sued! — by the Department of Homeland Security by this administration because he dares to try to stop the flow at our border? To stop the death, the fentanyl? To stop the poisoning? To stop armed intruders? You know, the president and this administration can go straight to hell,” Roy declared.

He went on to argue that indifference being shown to the border issues is not strictly limited to the Biden administration and the Democratic Party.

“My message to all of my Republican colleagues? We are not going to fund a government that’s at war with the people of Texas,” he said.

“We are not going to fund a government that’s perpetuating the lawlessness, empowering the cartels, allowing fentanyl to kill Americans, and allow little girls to get raped in stash houses in Texas!” said Roy.

“Enough. This is our fight. And I’m tired of Republicans who are giving lip service to it and for years have been supporting it because they want cheap labor,” he said. “We have an obligation to have a secure border.”

Last month, a border judge who warned about the situation a year ago sounded a new alarm he says all Americans should hear.

Terrell County Judge Dale Carruthers said in a recent interview that the illegal aliens being allowed into the country by the hundreds of thousands aren’t just a problem for Americans living in border communities because the Biden administration is moving them further into the country and throughout the country.

“They’re coming to your town, and your residents will be just as angry as my residents are,” Carruthers said.

Carruthers became so troubled by the substantial number of illegal aliens entering the country she decided to abandon her lifelong affiliation with the Democratic Party and join the Republican Party. Her motivation stemmed from her belief that her former party not only displayed a lack of interest in addressing the issue but also appeared inclined to exacerbate it.

The Western Journal noted:

Just about a year ago, Carruthers became one of the first judges in Texas history to proclaim the flood of illegals to be an “invasion” of our country and she is not backing down from that assessment now.

In July of last year, Carruthers joined a list of judges, sheriffs, and other Texas officials in signing a declaration of invasion and calling on Gov. Greg Abbott to join them in labeling the crisis of illegals as an official invasion under Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution, The Center Square reported at the time.

“We are trying to protect the sovereignty of Texas. I am a constitutional judge, and we are standing behind the Constitution,” she added at the time.
