Joy Behar, the cohost of the ABC Daytime talk show “The View,” has become more rankled in recent times.
It could be because the midterms are approaching and she realizes the poll numbers suggest her party is not headed to a victory. But the 80-year-old recently snapped during a live television show at her producer Brian Teta as he attempted to cut her off and head to a commercial.
They were talking about the Pennsylvania Senate campaign between Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz and Democrat John Fetterman when she said “the Democrats need to get behind John Fetterman because he’s qualified, and Mehmet Oz is a loser.”
“Let’s just talk —” she said before staring at the crowd.
“Brian doesn’t like that I called him a loser,” she said as the producer explained off camera that he was not cutting her off but that they needed to head to commercial.
“No, I don’t like that we’re out of time,” the producer said. “We’ve gotta go to break … we can come back.”
“Alright,” she said as her co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “Would you like to come back and say what you wanted to say?” to which the cohost, who was annoyed, said “Sure.”
“I mean, you should actually be sitting up here today!” Goldberg quipped to Teta, who shook his head to say “no.”

This week she said she is depressed because she does not comprehend how a “threat to Democracy” is not the number one thing on people’s minds this election and she cannot comprehend how they would vote Republican. But the average person does not have a net worth of $30 million and an annual salary of $7 million, Celebrity Net Worth reported.
Therefore it may be tough for her to comprehend how the average person sees the prices that they are paying for goods and services as their top issue. Behar informed the viewers of her show that “the Republican Party is not going to help you.”
“Well, what’s depressing is that the New York Times released a poll today that says that 70% of voters agree that democracy is under threat,” the cohost said.
“But only 7% of voters rank a threat to democracy as a major issue this election cycle,” she said.
“I find that so depressing, I can’t begin to tell you. The Republican Party is happy to let corporations never pay another tax the rest of their days, they will cut Social Security, they’re going to cut lunches for children,” she said but cited no evidence.
“They are not going to help you, so why would you vote for them? And yet, I see that it’s very close, that people are not understanding what the stakes are. And I find it, I find it sad and depressing,” she said.
Her co-host Sunny Hostin agreed.
“What I found depressing because I was riveted to the debates I think they’re so interesting,” she said.
“I realized from this morning that something like 10% of voters change their mind based on debates, going into the midterms, you know most people have already decided – two months in, they’ve decided who they’re going to vote for,” the co-host said.
“So it’s almost as if they don’t matter about the policies, they don’t matter what about people have done, they don’t matter, the character doesn’t matter, it just matters which jersey they’re wearing,” she said.
Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin attempted to talk some sense to her fellow cohosts.
“I want to say this respectfully, I worry there might be a blind spot about at this table is the fact that the average American family lost $6,000 in annual wages last year due to inflation,” the cohost said.
“Blame Biden or don’t but there is a reason that Tim Ryan is running in Ohio away from Biden and away from Nancy Pelosi,” she said.

President Joe Biden and, by default the Democratic Party he presides over, is getting the lion’s share of the blame for the country’s worsening inflation.
Just weeks out from the November midterm elections, according to a new survey from CBS News, Republicans are likely to retake control of at least the House as a majority of respondents put the blame for higher prices on Biden.
“The CBS/YouGov Battleground Tracker poll surveyed 2068 registered voters between October 12th and 14th, asking a number of questions about the upcoming elections, the overall state of the economy, and whether or not they were satisfied with the direction the country was heading,” The Daily Wire reported, citing the outlet’s survey data.
“The worst news for Democrats came from the questions about the economy, as 65% of those polled said that they felt like the United States economy was getting worse compared to only 15% who believed it was getting better. Another 20% said that the economy was staying the same,” The Daily Wire added.
