Democrats and their anti-Trump allies are licking their chops in anticipation of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress this month. But one former Republican lawmaker just exposed Mueller big time.
Former South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy risked it all recently and revealed that Mueller could use his hearing to “shock” Americans into supporting impeaching President Donald Trump.
During an interview on Fox News with host Sean Hannity, Gowdy predicted that the hearing would be a “freak show.”
But Mueller’s testimony could backfire big time on Democrats.
The former top Republican also said Mueller testifying gives Republicans the chance to prove there was no collusion, no obstruction, and inherent bias at the highest levels of Obama’s FBI when they opened the Russia investigation into Trump.
“Republicans have got to get better at not always promising what’s getting ready to come. Look at already exists,” Gowdy told Hannity.
“Look at what Horowitz found! Strzok and Page with a historic level of bias. You have a dossier that was used in a court pleading that was not verified. You have Steele, who was defrocked as a source but yet continue to provide information to as the world’s premier law enforcement agency, and you’ve got a DOJ senior official in Bruce Ohr who is in the chain of evidence from Fusion GPS to the DOJ,” he continued.
Gowdy added: “We shouldn’t have to promise anything else! That ought to be enough for my fellow citizens to say, you know what, something ain’t right!”
Gowdy rounded out his comments by saying that Mueller didn’t even want to testify, but Democrats are so desperate to keep the Trump-Russia collusion theories alive that they threatened to subpoena him.
“So Mueller does not want to come. He does not want to come because he does not want to deviate from his report. What you’re going to get are these incendiary questions about obstruction and impeachment. You are not going to learn anything that you don’t already know. It’s just going to be great for people,” Gowdy said.
Gowdy argued that if Republicans can stick to the known facts about the anti-Trump bias that infected the Mueller investigation, the American people will see that the two-year long probe was shady and led to the president being completely vindicated.

Gowdy also argued that Republicans should demand Mueller reveal under oath why he never bothered to investigate figures within the Obama administration, FBI, or Deep State for trying to interfere in the 2016 election to help Hillary Clinton defeat Trump.
All in all, the former South Carolina lawmaker made it clear that he believes the entire Russia investigation started as a Deep State coup because certain Obama figures could not stand Trump and wanted to take him down at all costs.
Aside from that, Mueller’s report clearly vindicates the president and squashes the Democrats pipe dream of impeaching the president.
After a two-year investigation, Mueller stated that his team found no evidence that Trump, his campaign, or any American colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
Back in April, Attorney General William Barr also said he consulted with Rosenstein and that they both determined there was no evidence to charge Trump with obstructing justice in the Russia probe.
Barr and Mueller have made it clear that there is no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice.
The president has been completely vindicated after the two-year Russia probe, and Gowdy thinks it is time to turn the tables on those who started the entire witch hunt.
