Trump Attorneys Celebrate After Judge Dismisses Their Case

Written by Carmine Sabia

Democrats on Twitter and in the media celebrated when a judge struck down a case from the President Donald Trump campaign legal team, but they were in for a rude awakening.

The team, led by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, actually thanked U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Brann, who was appointed by former President Obama, for his swift decision, appearing to declare victory, BizPac Review reported.

The team of attorneys actually made an argument similar to what this writer made just after the decision was rendered.

“The decision of Judge Brann, appointed by former President Obama, is part of what has to happen. This is how you get to the Supreme Court,” I said after the decision.

Those who despise President Trump were quick to jump on that tweet and insist that the fact the case was dismissed with prejudice meant that it could not be appealed.

Anyone who knows even a modicum of the law knows that that assessment is incorrect, and what I said is correct, as Giuliani explained.

“Today’s decision turns out to help us in our strategy to get expeditiously to the U.S. Supreme Court. Although we fully disagree with this opinion, we’re thankful to the Obama-appointed judge for making this anticipated decision quickly, rather than simply trying to run out the clock,” Giuliani and Jenna Ellis said.

“There is so much evidence that in Pennsylvania, Democrats eliminated our opportunity to present 50 witnesses and other evidence that election officials blatantly ignored Pennsylvania’s law denying independent review. This resulted in 682,777 ballots being cast illegally, wittingly or unwittingly,” they said.

The president’s team has shown no signs of stopping its march to the Supreme Court, though there is no guarantee that the Supreme Court will take the case, even after a scathing decision from Judge Brann

“One might expect that when seeking such a startling outcome, a plaintiff would come formidably armed with compelling legal arguments and factual proof of rampant corruption,” the judge said. “That has not happened.”

The judge said that Pennsylvania officials are allowed to certify election results that have former Vice President Joe Biden ahead in the state by more than 80,000 votes. The judge said that President Trump’s campaign attorneys presented “strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations … unsupported by evidence.”

“In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state,” he said. “Our people, laws, and institutions demand more.”

President Trump tweeted after the decision, going after Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Pat Toomey, who recommended this judge to former President Obama and who has started to call on President Trump to concede.

“It’s all a continuation of the never ending Witch Hunt. Judge Brann, who would not even allow us to present our case or evidence, is a product of Senator Pat “No Tariffs” Toomey of Pennsylvania, no friend of mine, & Obama – No wonder. 900,000 Fraudulent Votes!” he said on Saturday.
