A new poll is potentially devastating for Democrats ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Surveys have shown former President Donald Trump moving past President Joe Biden for months now.

An Emerson College poll found that Trump also beats Vice President Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom, the governor of California. He also blows past Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

The poll found that 45 percent of the 1,225 registered voter respondents surveyed support Trump in a race against Biden, who draws 44 percent support.

Another eleven percent of poll participants are undecided. Trump’s advantage falls within the ± 2.7 percent credibility interval.

“Trump’s slim edge grows by one point when the field widens to include third-party candidates. He leads the pack with 40 percent, followed by Biden at 38 percent and independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr. at seven percent. From there, Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent candidate Cornel West tie at one percent, with another thirteen percent undecided,” the site noted further, referencing the results.

Moreover, a plurality of voters — 45 percent — anticipate that Trump will win the next presidency, whereas 42 percent believe Biden will. Another 14 percent indicates that someone else will emerge victorious in November.

Emerson conducted polls on potential matchups between Trump and other prominent Democrats across the country against a backdrop of national attention on Biden’s mental acuity and age.

Scrutiny regarding Biden’s mental fitness and age intensified following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s damning report on Biden’s classified document case and the president’s disastrous press conference addressing it.

The polls revealed that all other Democrats trail behind Trump, and their performances were worse than Biden’s.

Trump has yet to be officially nominated as the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential candidate, but that seems a foregone conclusion at this point, given his easy dispatching of all but one remaining primary contender, Nikki Haley.

As such, there has been speculation for months about who the former president would choose as his running mate/vice president, though another name has surfaced in recent days.

Trump attended a “mega MAGA” gala at his Mar-a-Lago estate, billed as a “Golden Evening for a Golden President” event organized by a group called The Trumpettes.

The star-studded event featured actor Robert Davi, who improvised a version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” in which he crooned, “Trump did it his way.”

Meanwhile, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tore into “communist Democrats” who are “coming after your money.”

However, it was Vivek Ramaswamy who turned heads; after dropping out of the presidential race last month and heartily endorsing Trump, he is rumored to be on the VP shortlist, especially after he made his entrance with Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump.

Social media erupted following the event, with opinions and comments suggesting Ramaswamy definitely could make a good vice president.

“I wonder if Vivek will be vice president? I have never been so impatient in my life to know who the VP pick is. Waiting sucks,” an X user wrote.

“This is what the country needs. President and VP. This needs to happen,” another wrote.

“I think God anointed him to save this country,” event organizer Toni Holt Kramer, president of the support group Trumpettes USA, told the audience at Mar-a-Lago on Feb. 10.

“America is the love of his life. He’s got the biggest heart, the smartest mind, and the strongest way. There’s no one else like him,” he added.

Other names have surfaced on the Trump VP shortlist, including Greene, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, among others.
