Donald Trump is going to campaign again for the presidency of the United States and he owes a lot of the credit to New York prosecutors, his former advisor said.
Steve Bannon, who served as the chief White House strategist for President Trump, made the prediction on the Newsman Show “Spicer & Co,” hosted by former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.
“Donald J. Trump is running again in 2024, there’s absolutely no doubt about that,” he said before getting into the charges that were filed against the Trump Organization and its CFO this week.
“This is all a plot by the Attorney General Letitia James, the district attorney of New York, because they couldn’t get President Trump on any of the other impeachments, any of the phony stuff. They had to trump up these charges for really, fringe benefits to employees over 15 years to try to stop him. They’re not going to stop him,” Bannon said.
“This is only going to make the MAGA movement more determined. This is what happens in a third world country. This is what the Chinese Communist Party (does) to people when they gtet out of power,” he argued.
This movement is on the march. Donald Trump is going to run for president again and I gotta tell you, he’s not gonna be stopped by a punch of pencil necks in New York City that are putting up these trumped up charges to try to stop him, it’s only gonna empower him,” he said.
Bannon had referred to Trump’s visit to the Southern border and his subsequent interview with Sean Hannity where he said he made up his mind about running for president in 2024.
“You are not going to answer, but I have to ask, where are you in the process,” Hannity said to Trump on his Fox News show on Wednesday about a potential 2024 presidential campaign. “Let me ask you this, without giving the answer, what the answer is, have you made up your mind?”
“Yes,” the 45th President of the United States said.
“If you move forward, you know how difficult it is, but you seem ready to reengage in that battle,” the host said later.
“It’s not that I want to,” Trump said. To him. “The country needs it. We have to take care of this country. I don’t want to, is this fun? Fighting constantly? Fighting always? I mean, the country, what we have done is so important.”
