The FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in early August and the search has already become the subject of extensive polling.

Previous polling found that Trump’s base was energized by the raid and the public at large had serious concerns. As November’s midterm elections are just weeks out and the 2024 presidential election is inching closer, polling indicates that Republican voters are standing firm with Trump. A brand new Emerson College poll found that Trump is leading President Joe Biden by 8 points in a hypothetical 2024 match-up among Iowa voters.

“The poll found that 47 percent of likely voters in Iowa said they would support Trump in the potential rematch, while 39 percent said they would back Biden. Another 10 percent said they would support a different candidate, and 5 percent remained undecided. Biden’s support matches up closely with the 34 percent in the poll that approved of the job he is doing as president. However, 56 percent said they disapproved of Biden’s performance,” The Hill reported.

“The FBI’s search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, in which the agency recovered dozens of classified documents, made no difference or increased his support among a majority of likely voters in Iowa. Thirty-eight percent said the Mar-a-Lago search had no impact on their likelihood to support the former president, while 34 percent said it makes them more likely to support Trump,” the outlet continued.

The poll found that only 28 percent said the raid “decreased their support” for Trump.

Another poll in August found results consistent with these previous polls but also found a growing number of Americans are worried the United States may be resembling a Third World nation.

A Rasmussen poll found that 55 percent of voters believe the FBI raid would happen in Third World countries.

More importantly, the poll revealed that “young voters” — a demographic the Democrats can’t afford to lose — are especially concerned about the raid.

Only 50 percent of voters aged 65 or older shared this third-world concern. Meanwhile, 58 percent of voters between 40 and 64 characterized the FBI raid as third-world, and so did 58 percent of voters under 40.

A separate poll revealed that more than 80 percent of Republican voters said the raid made them “more motivated” to vote in the 2022 election.

A Trafalgar Group and Convention of States Action survey found that 71.7 percent of Independent respondents said that the raid increased their drive to vote.

“Independent and Republican voters are united in their outrage about this unprecedented and tragic event in American history,” Meckler said in a statement about the poll results. “This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn’t even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November.”

Below are some of the survey’s main findings:

Overall, more respondents (47.9 percent) said that they believed “Trump’s political enemies” were behind the raid in comparison to those who said that the “impartial justice system” was responsible (39.7 percent). Another 12.4 percent said that they weren’t sure.

A large majority of Republicans (76.7 percent) believe that Trump’s political enemies were responsible for the raid, while just 11.9 percent of Democrats gave the same answer.

Another 70.5 percent of Democrats said that they believed the impartial justice system was behind the Mar-a-Lago raid.

Among, independent respondents, 53.9 percent said that Trump’s enemies were responsible and 35.3 percent said that it was the impartial justice system.

Soon after the raid, Eric Trump announced on Truth Social that Donald Trump is raking in the donations, likely in anticipation of a sooner-rather-than-later announcement he will run again for the White House in 2024.

“Breaking: DonaldJTrump.com is shattering all fundraising records and I’m told has raised more money in the past 24 hours than ever before in recent history! The American people are pissed!” Eric Trump posted.

Fox News host Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, blasted the Biden administration for the raid.
