Throughout his 2024 campaign, billionaire Elon Musk has been the person that Donald Trump has most closely allied with. Now, an organization led by the CEO of Tesla, X, Starlink, and SpaceX is managing the former president’s ground operations in the seven battleground states that will most likely determine who will be in the White House come January.

The Guardian, citing various sources, said that Trump’s “wider ground game operation in crucial battleground states is now largely outsourced to America Pac, the political action committee backed by” Musk.

At first, the Trump campaign expected to have several political action committees (PACs) involved in voter mobilization. But with barely six weeks until the election, sources who talked with the publication claim that only America PAC has a sizable presence, hiring 300–400 paid and part-time workers to knock on doors in each of the seven critical states.

In addition, America PAC is the only group, whether or not it is connected to the Trump campaign, that plans to make three “passes” of residences owned by probable Trump supporters in each battleground state prior to Election Day.

After cutting Georgia from its original list, Charlie Kirk-led Turning Point Action—which is backed by the Trump campaign—now operates in Arizona, Wisconsin, and two particular districts in Michigan and Nevada.

Because of this, America PAC currently handles a sizable amount of the crucial but frequently disregarded task of canvassing and knocking on Trump supporters’ doors in battleground states in an effort to persuade them to cast their ballots again, according to The Guardian.

There have been some difficulties with the attempt to establish the PAC supported by Musk, though. America Pac terminated the door-knocking and canvassing company it had hired in Arizona and Nevada last week.

Trump suffered a great deal from the September Group decision because America PAC lost out on many days of canvassing in order to find a new company, and they also lost some of the roughly 300 people they had employed in each state.

The Trump campaign denied having a reliance on America PAC, stating that it had more than 27,000 volunteers working as Trump 47 Captains, a program allows dedicated Trump supporters to receive exclusive MAGA merchandise as they help increase voter registrations.

“Team Trump has hundreds of staff and offices mobilizing hundreds of thousands of volunteers across the country. That’s why everyone wants to take credit for our groundbreaking, data-enhanced, people-powered operation,” Karoline Leavitt, a Trump spokesperson, said in a statement.

The America PAC ground game operation was slow to start after abandoning its initial plans, only ramping up its hiring efforts last month.

However, it has since grown significantly, the outlet reported. By partnering with canvassing vendors in each battleground state, America PAC’s operation now includes hundreds of paid and part-time employees engaging in an unusually aggressive get-out-the-vote effort, according to sources who spoke to The Guardian.
