Eric Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, lambasted the justice system during an interview over the weekend following news on Thursday that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted his father, former President Donald Trump.

Eric Trump began the Fox News morning show segment by noting that within moments of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton calling to concede her loss to Donald Trump following the 2016 election, the Washington Post ran a piece declaring that the process of impeaching the newly elected president would immediately begin, which was weeks before Trump was even inaugurated.

Harkening on the indictment, Eric Trump then reminded the hosts and viewers that Bragg, along with New York Attorney General Letitia James, campaigned on going after his father even though they had no evidence he had done anything wrong, essentially declaring to New York voters they would find something after the fact.

After Democrats in Congress were unsuccessful in removing Trump from office following two historic impeachments, Eric Trump said they turned to local officials to try and get his father that way.

“They turned to these weaponized prosecutors funded by [left-wing billionaire] George Soros to go after him and his family, and it’s a disgrace to this country,” Eric Trump noted.

“Americans are sick and tired of a two-tiered [justice] system. If I was Hunter Biden, I’d be in jail for the rest of my life,” he continued, going on to point out that there are many legal questions surrounding the past behaviors of the current first family, but that doesn’t seem to interest anyone in authority.

“People in this country understand” what’s going on, Trump continued. “I was on a commercial flight when this whole indictment broke [and] people were coming up to me and giving me hugs. The support is unbelievable out there because people understand we’ve literally become a banana republic. They’ve made a mockery out of our legal system in this country.”

Donald Trump was indicted on Thursday on charges reportedly related to ‘hush money’ payments of $130,000 to adult film star Stormy Daniels and $150,000 to Playboy model Karen McDougal before the 2016 election after both alleged having affairs with the future president in the early 2000s. Trump has denied both allegations; he is scheduled to be arraigned in a Manhattan court on Tuesday.

Trump may have a gag order imposed on him by the New York judge in charge of his case, The Daily Mail reported, adding that he could be jailed for 30 days if he violates it.

“The Trump legal team now thinks that the Manhattan judge will take the unprecedented step of silencing the presidential frontrunner with an unconstitutional gag order tomorrow,” a source told the outlet.

“The Trump legal team is considering adding a First Amendment lawyer to the effort to combat this and will fight it all the way,” they said.

Under New York law, violating the gag order could result in a fine of $1,000 and a prison sentence of up to 30 days. On Sunday, Trump’s campaign announced that he would make a speech at his Mar-a-Lago home on Tuesday evening after returning from New York. However, the gag order could potentially complicate those plans, the outlet continued.

“But it did not change his Sunday schedule. He headed to his West Palm Beach golf club where he could be seen playing the course accompanied by one of his lawyers, Lindsey Halligan. At the same time, it emerged that his legal team will lodge a motion to immediately dismiss the case against him,” the Daily Mail noted further.

Another Trump attorney, Joe Tacopina, appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Friday night to discuss how things may go regarding Trump’s surrendering to authorities. Bragg wanted the former president to be arraigned on Friday but the Secret Service appeared to have nixed that.

“On Tuesday the president will be arraigned. We expect a mug shot. We expect the president will have his fingerprints. We expect what? Is he going to be perp walked? Is he going to be in handcuffs? Are they going to try and say he can’t have bail?” host Sean Hannity asked.

“I don’t think anything dramatic like that is going to happen. Even if they tried to that would further solidify the notion he is being so selectively targeted and treated differently than anyone in the world. You can go smack a police officer in Times Square right now, knock him out, you’ll be out on bail. You’ll get bail, no problem. Are they going to ask bail on a misdemeanor case?” Tacopina said.

“Yeah, but they don’t have the last name Trump, Joe,” Hannity said.

“Of course not. Here’s the thing. We don’t really know what’s going to happen Tuesday because, logistically, this has never happened. We have the Secret Service involved in an arraignment. When have you seen that before? Never,” the attorney said.
