The liberal co-hosts of “The View” were shredded online after claiming during a show late last week that illegal immigrants being sent to New York City should be “resettled elsewhere.”

The Friday remarks came after Democratic NYC Mayor Eric Adams gave a dire update on the situation after an influx of more than 110,000 migrants since last year, many of them having been bussed to the Big Apple from overwhelmed border states like Texas.

“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City,” he said Wednesday during a town hall meeting on the Upper West Side. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

“Month after month I stood up and said this is gonna come to a neighborhood near you. Well, we’re here, we’re getting no support on this national crisis, and we’re receiving no support,” he added.

“One hundred ten thousand migrants we have to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets, give them everything they need, health care,” Adams said. “Now we’re getting Western Africa, now we’re getting people from all over the globe that made their minds up that they’re gonna come through the southern border and coming to New York City.”

“Everyone is saying it is New York City’s problem. Every community in this city is going to be impacted. We have a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut. Every service in this city is going to be impacted, all of us,” Adams said.

“All of us are going to be impacted by this. I said it last year when we had 15,000 and I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew, we’re about to lose, and we are all in this together, all of us,” he complained.

“I think New York is now getting a small taste of what border states have dealt with for decades,” The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said to begin the “Hot Topics” segment.

“This is not a federal problem. This is not an American problem. This is a regional problem. This is a world problem and I think it takes everybody sitting together, not being performative,” complained co-host Ana Navarro. “What is being performative? Sending busloads of migrants to Kamala Harris’ house or Martha’s Vineyard.”

Adams, prior to becoming mayor, criticized the Trump administration’s strict immigration and border enforcement policies and pledged that under his administration, New York would remain “a sanctuary city.”

He has since blamed former President Donald Trump for the current problem, though Trump’s been out of office going on three years, and President Joe Biden, on his first day in office, reversed most of Trump’s policies.

Navarro credited the Biden administration as it “prioritized asylum seekers” and recalled that “we’ve dealt with this before,” citing her own arrival as an immigrant in the early 1980s.

She then seemingly went on to take Adams’ side, saying that the problem “puts tremendous stress on a city” before sparking a firestorm by adding: “They need to be resettled elsewhere.”

Co-host Sara Haines agreed: “They need to spread out. This is a massive country!”

Then co-host Joy Behar added, “It’s only going to get worse with global warming and climate change because people can’t live in certain parts of this world.”

Users on the X platform wasted no time taking the co-hosts’ perceived hypocrisy to task.

“This needs to be in an ad. ‘The consequences of liberal policies I support aren’t supposed to affect ME!’” Twitchy’s Doug Powers remarked.

Commentator Noam Blum shared a screenshot of an old tweet from someone else that said, “’I never thought leopards would eat MY face,’ sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.”

“Libs who’ve seen Hamilton 20 times be like, ‘send those migrants elsewhere,’” New Yorker and conservative commentator Ryan James Girdusky remarked.

“’Let them in! Just not in our backyard.’- Leftists, basically,” MRCTV managing editor Brittany Hughes added.
