Another day, another outrageous claim from Maxine Waters.

During an interview on MSNBC with host Jonathan Capehart, the California Democrat claimed that right-wing organizations connected to former President Donald Trump have training camps “up in the hills” preparing to attack if Trump loses the 2024 election this November.

“Trump says in that Time interview interview that he would not seek to overturn or ignore the Constitution’s prohibition on a third term,” noted host Jonathan Capehart.

“Should the American people believe that? Do you believe that?” he asked.

“No! Absolutely not,” replied Waters emphatically. “As I said, you can’t believe anything that Donald Trump has to say. Donald Trump will do any and everything that he can possibly get away with. He does not at all support the Constitution of the United States of America. This is a man who we better be careful about.”

Then Waters made an outrageous claim about these supposed training camps: “And I tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to ask the Justice Department and I’m going to ask the president to tell us what they are going to do to protect this country against violence if he loses. I want to know about all of those right-wing organizations that he’s connected with who are training up in the hills somewhere and targeting, you know, what communities they’re going to attack. We need to know now, given that he’s telling us that there’s going to be violence if he loses. We need to know what his plan is and how we’re going to be protected.”

Earlier this week, Trump blasted President Joe Biden’s administration, comparing it to the Nazi regime’s secret police circa World War II.

Trump was talking to donors at a weekend retreat in Florida, where he took the stage with supporters and potential running mates as his campaign seeks to close the money gap with Biden.

The New York Times and The Washington Post reported that they obtained audio recordings of remarks where Trump asserted that Democrats, under Biden, are orchestrating the multiple federal and state-level indictments he is facing as he concurrently runs another campaign for the White House in this year’s election, according to The Daily Wire.

“These people are running a Gestapo administration,” Trump said. “And it’s the only thing they have. And it’s the only way they’re going to win, in their opinion, and it’s actually killing them. But it doesn’t bother me.”

Trump is currently on trial in a 2016 election “hush-money” case in New York, initiated by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Additionally, he faces charges in a 2020 election case centered in Georgia, led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, as well as a separate 2020 election case and a classified documents case overseen by special counsel Jack Smith.

Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing in both the criminal proceedings and civil litigation concerning his business and personal matters. Alongside pleading not guilty to numerous charges, Trump has asserted that prosecutors are conducting a politically motivated “witch hunt” against him.

Last week, Trump’s attorneys filed paperwork to have Smith’s classified documents case against him dismissed on grounds of selective prosecution.

The filing names several political figures who have participated in similar activity to what the former president is being prosecuted for, including former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey, and President Joe Biden.

“President Donald J. Trump respectfully submits that the indictment must be dismissed on the basis of the office’s selective prosecution,” the attorneys said in a court filing that was obtained by reporter Julie Kelly.

It says that Special Counsel Robert Hurr found that President Biden had mishandled classified documents and stored some in his private residence and at an office.
