President Joe Biden exploded in a tirade while delivering a speech in Pennsylvania on Friday as he discussed issues related to the economy in a bid to bolster his sagging approval ratings.

“Imagine being the parent making the minimum wage or twice the minimum wage and having a child with type one diabetes, knowing that if you can’t and have no insurance, knowing if you cannot get that money for the insulin, the child may die,” Biden said.

“In addition to your child, it strips you of your dignity, damn it,” Biden claimed. “Can you imagine looking at your child and you know what they need and not be able to do it? Many of you have lost children. Many of you have seen, imagine, it’s outrageous.”

Watch:

Regarding Biden’s remarks about insulin, several social media users pointed out that the administration of President Donald Trump actually managed to lower the price of insulin, but Biden’s administration rescinded the agreement.

“The deal struck with the nation’s insulin manufacturers and health care providers will limit the co-pay for a month’s supply of insulin to $35 — a 66 percent reduction to current costs, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said,” the New York Post reported in May 2020.

The rule was finalized in December 2020, but the Biden administration delayed implementation twice before it finally took effect in July 2021. However, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services never implemented it and the rule was finally withdrawn in October.

The speech in Pittsburgh is part of an effort by Biden to reset his presidency and is the first of several planned road trips to shore up his approval rating, reports noted.

According to a CIVIQS rolling job approval average released earlier this month, just 35 percent of Americans approve of his job performance amid skyrocketing inflation, worsening supply chain issues, higher gas prices, and a foreign policy that seems adrift as the U.S. is being challenged around the world by Russia and China.

In addition, the survey found that Biden’s disapproval rose to a record high of 56 percent, with 9 percent saying they had no opinion one way or the other (which, in and of itself, is telling).

“This comes as Biden has been in office just less than a year and has dealt with a host of problems so far: a supply chain crisis, record-high inflation, and botched Afghanistan withdrawal,” Breitbart noted.

Interestingly, the age group that gave Biden the lowest job approval rating was the 18-34-year-old demographic, typically viewed as being more liberal. But that group gave him a 27-58 percent approval/disapproval ranking.

He got the highest marks from the 65-plus age group, with 41 percent approving and 54 percent disapproving (still not terrific).

Also, Biden isn’t doing well with men or women, though he scored lower with men, with 31 percent approval and 62 percent disapproval. Women, meanwhile, gave him 39 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval.

Ironically, just ahead of Biden’s visit to Pittsburgh, a bridge collapsed, which he later visited and which he addressed during his speech.

“We saw today, when a bridge is in disrepair, it literally can threaten lives,” Biden said during his speech at Carnegie Mellon University’s Mill 19, which is only a few miles from the collapsed bridge.

The bridge, said Biden, “had been rated in poor condition for the past 10 years,”

“There are another 3,300 bridges here in Pennsylvania in just as old, and just as decrepit a condition as that bridge was,” he said, according to CNBC. “Across the country there are 45,000 bridges in poor condition.”

“It’s just simply unacceptable,” he continued.
