Top neurosurgeon and former Housing and Urban Development secretary Dr. Ben Carson revealed on Friday that he doesn’t believe President Joe Biden could even pass a simple cognitive exam at this point in his life, an opinion that should terrify all Americans and make them wonder who’s really making the decisions.

The Yale-educated neurological expert said he believes “it’s pretty obvious” after watching Biden that the president’s mental acuity has fallen dramatically in recent years.

“Just look at the different interviews over the years and compare the way he speaks now to the way he spoke, you know, five years ago, ten years ago. Obviously, a big decline. That’s not something that is normal,” Carson told The Daily Wire. “There is a decline with aging and memory and various other things, but not to that degree. There is something else going on with him.”

Carson suggested that the president should take a short-term memory test, but the White House rejected the idea, fearing that Biden might perform poorly.

“They’ll ask questions like, count down from 100 by 7s. They’ll ask you to name three objects, you can pick any three objects you want and tell them what they are, then they’ll ask you a whole bunch of other questions, and then they’ll say, ‘What were those three objects?’ just to test your short-term memory,” Carson said, noting that the exam wouldn’t be too hard.

“They’re not difficult questions … but I can pretty much guarantee you that he wouldn’t be able to do that,” Carson speculated.

Recent polls conducted among American voters suggest that many people share the concerns expressed by Carson regarding the mental fitness of the President. A Deseret News/HarrisX poll released this month revealed that 63 percent of registered voters are worried that the 81-year-old President is not capable enough mentally to perform his duties as a U.S. President, the Daily Wire noted.

According to recent polls, the perception of Biden’s performance hasn’t improved. A survey conducted by Quinnipiac University on February 21 revealed that 64 percent of registered voters believed that he was mentally unfit to serve another term, while only 34 percent thought otherwise.

Biden’s current cognitive state is already putting the country at risk, but it’s only “going to get worse,” according to a former White House doctor who served during Biden’s vice presidency.

Dr. Ronny Jackson, who is now a GOP congressman from Texas, has regularly sounded the alarm bell regarding Biden’s obvious decline in mental capacity and did so again as recently as December, as it becomes increasingly apparent that the president is struggling more.

“[The decline is] happening quickly,” Jackson told “Sunday Morning Futures” guest host Sean Duffy, Fox News reported.

“Like you said, I’ve taken care of three presidents… so I know firsthand what it takes to be the commander-in-chief and the head of state. It’s a grueling job, both mentally and physically. This man can’t do the job. He’s proven to us every single day that he can’t do the job, but this is going to get worse,” Jackson continued.

Jackson served as a physician under the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations.

“It’s just unbelievable how much he’s degenerated just during his time in office. We cannot afford to have this man in office for the remainder of this term and then [for] another four years after that. He’s already putting us at great risk right now,” Jackson continued, noting the big change he has seen in Biden since he began running for president in 2019.

Jackson went on to list a number of concerns he has for the direction of the country, including a potential new war overseas, the ongoing migrant crisis at the southwestern border, the economy, and other issues.

“[Look at] the wars that we’re getting drawn into. Things that wouldn’t happen if Donald Trump were there because our enemies don’t fear us anymore. They have no respect for us anymore and our adversaries don’t trust us anymore, and it’s because we don’t have the leadership in the White House that we need,” he told Duffy.

“It’s because this man, even if he wanted to, he cannot provide that leadership. He is not physically and cognitively fit for office anymore, and somebody in his inner circle needs to step up to the plate and make him aware of this, and he needs to move on for the safety and security of this country,” Jackson continued.
