Former President Donald Trump has managed to woo a top conservative donor organization ahead of big delegate wins in Missouri, Michigan, and Idaho on Saturday.

The Washington Examiner reported that the highly influential Club For Growth has put aside its previous differences with the 45th president and invited him to speak at the group’s annual economic retreat in Palm Beach, Fla.

“Now we’re back in love; we’re in deep, deep love,” he said, per a source who was in the room for the former president’s speech.

The Examiner noted further:

The Club for Growth, a deep-pocketed group that spends tens of millions to elect conservative candidates each cycle, had forged a close relationship with Trump during his four years in the White House.

But the relationship soured during the midterm elections, when he and the group’s president, David McIntosh, did not see eye to eye in a handful of races. It deteriorated further when a club-affiliated organization spent millions unsuccessfully attempting to challenge Trump’s third run for the White House.

Trump alluded to the races that “broke us up for about a year.”

“Every once in a while, we have an argument. It’s always about who to endorse,” he told the crowd at The Breakers Hotel, the outlet reported.

The previously fluctuating relationship is now back on track, with Trump on the verge of securing the nomination in the upcoming weeks. Politico reported that Trump dined with McIntosh at his Mar-a-Lago resort last month, who then traveled with the former president to South Carolina ahead of the Republican primary.

Following Trump’s speech, McIntosh issued a statement praising the common ground they found on tax reform and deregulation during Trump’s term in office. He characterized the easing of tensions as crucial in their shared goal of defeating President Joe Biden in the November election.

“We need to grow our majority in the House and reclaim the majority in the Senate. We need to restore the American dream, and the only way we can do that is by working together,” McIntosh said.

“President Trump always says, ‘When Trump and the Club for Growth PAC are together, we always win.’ And together, we are going to win back the White House and more this November,” he added.

A new analysis by noted election forecasters is extremely good news for former President Donald Trump and, by default, Republicans in general.

The analysis from Decision Desk HQ cited polls from across the country to predict that Trump will win more than 300 electoral votes, mostly by flipping several states he lost in 2020.

The forecasters believe Trump “will win a total of 312 Electoral votes in November, the biggest number a GOP candidate has received since George H. W. Bush’s 1988 victory when he received 426 votes,” Newsweek reported.

The outlet added:

The estimates are the latest worrying sign for Biden as he seeks re-election. The president has long faced concerns about his low approval ratings, as well as voters believing the 81-year-old is too old for a second term in office. Former President Trump himself is also facing the prospect of being a convicted felon by November as he faces 91 criminal charges across four trials, with polls suggesting this could damage his bid to re-enter the White House.

The Decision Desk HQ analysis went on to say that Trump is on par to win several important swing states to include Nevada and Arizona. And, as of now, the 45th president looks like he’ll also win the “blue wall” swing states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, all of which he won in 2016 when he defeated two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton.

Newsweek added: “The 312 electoral votes Trump is predicted to win would be more than the 306 Biden achieved in 2020, as well as the 304 Trump was awarded during his 2016 election victory over Clinton. The largest-ever presidential victory in terms of electoral votes was achieved by Ronald Reagan in 1984, who won 525 out of the possible 538 electoral votes after winning all but one of the 50 states in a resounding victory over Walter Mondale.”
