Major DeSantis Donor Now Spending Millions On Trump Campaign

A major GOP donor who was initially backing Ron DeSantis has now begun to throw millions in financial support behind former President Donald Trump following the Florida governor’s exit from the Republican primaries, The Epoch Times reports.

In February, MAGA Inc. received several million-dollar contributions, including the largest one from the biggest donor of Mr. DeSantis’s campaign for the GOP nomination. According to FEC records, on February 9th, aerospace and real estate mogul Robert Bigelow made a $5 million donation to MAGA Inc., the outlet reported.

The outlet noted further:

On March 20, various committees associated with former President Donald Trump published their financial reports with the Federal Election Commission reflecting their February activities.

The three organizations that issued a monthly report on March 20—the principal campaign committee Donald J. Trump for President 2024 Inc., the qualified leadership PAC Save America, and the super PAC Make America Great Again Inc.—reported they collectively had about $63.1 million in cash on hand at the end of February.

The three groups, as a whole, raised about $28.7 million in total receipts and sent out about $22 million in total disbursements.

Bigelow, the founder, president, and program manager of Bigelow Aerospace, a company based in North Las Vegas, Nevada, donated $20 million to Never Back Down Inc., a super PAC that supported DeSantis in 2023. He also sent $10 million to a Florida-based political account that supported DeSantis in 2022.

Bigelow is the president of Your Best Management Group LLC, which owns Budget Suites of America. In 2023, he indicated he would switch his support to Trump after becoming disillusioned with DeSantis’ candidacy.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign continues to get the kind of news that has President Joe Biden’s campaign in panic mode.

Just the News reported that a slew of new surveys show Trump has either maintained or extended his lead over Biden in seven key battleground states.

“Trump leads Biden by 4% in Arizona, 1% in Michigan, 3% in Nevada and 3% in Wisconsin, according to four polls released Wednesday and Thursday by Emerson College Polling/The Hill,” the outlet noted, citing the surveys.

“Trump is also ahead of Biden by 3% in North Carolina and 4% in Georgia, according to polls released Wednesday by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion. Meanwhile, an Emerson College survey released last week shows Trump leads Biden by 4% in Pennsylvania,” the outlet continued.

That said, Trump’s lead is within the margin of error in at least three states—Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada—and he’s within the 3.6 percent margin of error in the Marist poll in North Carolina.

Moreover, these figures do not encompass third-party candidates, so they are subject to change, particularly if Robert F. Kennedy manages to secure a spot on the ballot. At present, he has solely fulfilled petitioning endeavors to secure a ballot position in Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, and New Hampshire, according to information available on his website.

Biden’s campaign is obviously feeling the heat, as it has begun aggressively raising funds. Also, the campaign made a $30 million ad purchase in several battleground states earlier this month.

The Biden campaign is launching a six-week, $30 million ad blitz in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, according to Politico.

The ad campaign seeks to highlight various Biden initiatives concerning “climate change” and abortion while also addressing concerns regarding the president’s mental acuity. The campaign mirrors a broader administration push to garner support among black Americans and young people, especially as the president trails behind Trump in the polls.

The outlet noted that the ad negates to mention the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, choosing instead to focus on Trump’s alleged infringement on the “freedom of women to choose.”

The ad targets minorities and young voters, with a strong emphasis on social media platforms. Additionally, it will be aired on cable networks such as ESPN, TNT, FX, and Comedy Central, the campaign told Politico.
